Every year, thousands of volunteers donate their time and talents to making a difference in the lives of homeless families and individuals in our programs. From cooking dinner at the family shelter to sorting donations, there are always opportunities for groups and individuals to get involved for a single day or on an ongoing basis.
At this time to curb the spread of COVID-19, volunteer projects are being done remotely and are limited when it comes to any volunteering within the shelters. This includes providing meal service at the shelters. Individuals and groups can hire restaurants or catering companies with a commercial license to cook and bring in/deliver meals to the shelters. To provide money or a catered meal at either the Mountain View Family Shelter in Martinez or SHELTER Solano, or to discuss other volunteer opportunities, please contact Yareth Rodriguez at Yareth.Rodriguez@ShelterInc.org.
