SHELTER Sacramento is a year-round emergency shelter located in the River District of Sacramento. SHELTER Sacramento can meet the emergency housing needs of individuals with accommodations including dormitory-style rooms. Since 1986, SHELTER, Inc. has provided critical housing assistance and case management to help families and individuals facing eviction, living on the streets or struggling to obtain affordable rental housing. SHELTER, Inc., works to prevent homelessness, end homelessness and provide affordable housing.

SERVICES OFFERED AT SHELTER SACRAMENTO
Professional case managers work one-on-one with individuals and families, helping to counsel, identify challenges and strengths, and set goals to help them move from the shelter into a permanent home.
Housing stability and self-sufficiency is the primary goal of the program. SHELTER, Inc. employs a Housing First approach to quickly and successfully connect individuals and families experiencing homelessness to permanent housing without preconditions and barriers to entry.
LIFE SKILLS/WELLNESS PROGRAMS
SHELTER, Inc. works in collaboration with local organizations to provide workshops and programs to build life skills and support overall health and wellness for clients.
